POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fuel & Lubricants Sales Representative will grow fuel and lubricant sales and gross margin to meet and or exceed quota and objectives for the assigned territory. This is a revenue generating position that interacts daily with customers/prospects and a variety of employees. A strong sense of organization and self-motivation is required. This person will be expected to organize, manage, and develop a relationship with customers and prospects in their territory. They will gain knowledge of industry, products, and services. This position will represent and communicate Heritage Petroleum products, services, policies, procedures, and programs to the customer/prospect.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and/or exceed sales and profit objectives
  • Develop call schedule for territory
  • Maintain and utilize CRM software to record sales activity for all prospects/customers
  • Attend and participate in sales and training meetings
  • Develop relationships with customers/prospects
  • Organize and efficiently manage sales territory
  • Implement company policies and initiatives
  • Work with supplier representatives
  • Provide technical information to customers/prospects
  • Assist with credit collections
  • Secure and document competitive information
  • Continued product and general skills education
  • Submit all required reports and information in a timely manner
  • Work with all company personnel in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each of the major duties satisfactorily. The requirements which follow are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information accurately in order to effectively present, respond and appropriately interact with customers, potential customers, staff and other business contacts. Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures. Ability to exercise sound judgment in solving practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and appropriate experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5 years sales experience is preferred. Working knowledge of business to business sales process and demonstrated ability to close deals. Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Commercial, Mining, and Construction industries preferred. Intermediate PC skills and working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other common programs used in a business setting

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those of an office. Noise level in the work environmental is normally moderate. Typically the duties are performed indoors, during the day and some overtime may be required. Travel is required.
